- Conducting thorough research into the company and product area you're interviewing for will go a long way to differentiate you from the vast majority of candidates. You'll feel more confident, which will come across in your tone and body language. More directly, you'll be tested during the interview to see how much you know about the company and product area, which often signals to the interviewer how much you care about the job. On the one hand, you might receive straightforward questions like "How does Company X make money?" Or "What do you like or dislike about Product X?" Beyond this, you can subtly tilt the interview in your favor by bringing up befitting facts and stories.
