Summary and next steps

And this brings us to the very end of this course on GitOps using Argo CD. Here is a quick summary of what we covered here. We first got introduced to Argo CD for GitOps and had a quick look at the major components that make up Argo CD. We then set up a local Kubernetes cluster and ran Argo CD in it and we deployed apps to the same cluster using Argo CD. We then connected to an external Kubernetes cluster and deployed apps on that external cluster using Argo CD. We used Argo CD with public repositories. We saw how we could connect to private repositories by specifying credentials. We also saw a few advanced topics, such as the use of application sets, sync waves and hooks, and deployment using Helm charts. And finally, we saw how we could use Argo CD for application and infrastructure deployment on the Google Cloud platform on a GKE cluster.
