Creating a Windows application server
Let's install the Windows 2019 server as app02. We can download a Windows 2019 evaluation server image from the Microsoft site shown here for use in our lab. We'll create a new VM with an ID of 112. We'll call it app02, and at the OS screen, we'll pick up our 2019 ISO that we uploaded, and we'll change to Microsoft Windows and select 2019 server. The system will run a Qemu Agent. We'll increase the disk to 64 GB. We'll put in two cores. And we'll change the memory to 4 GB. And we're happy with the network. We'll confirm and start to create it. Okay. It's started, so we'll open the console. Okay. We're asked to confirm our language settings, which we'll do and we'll install. Now, we'll select the standard evaluation desktop experience, accept the terms, and we'll do a custom install. And select the drive that we'd created. And windows starts copying its files. Okay. We're now asked to enter a password for the administrator account. This has to be one which meets the Windows password…
