Welcome to Lesson 2.2, Replay Basic Examples with Kafkaesque. In this lesson we're going to replay a few examples from Lesson 1.4 so that we can see how they show up in Kafka, and also so you can try this on your own and get a feel for for how things look and then show up in Kafkaesque. So let's start with our notes file as we normally do. And in our 2.2 view basic examples, there's just a single notes file. So let's open that up and that'll give us some examples how to get some data into Kafkaesque. Okay, so if you remember, we created tests and monkeys, two topics. And if we go back to Kafkaesque, and incidentally on a Mac system, you need to click on Xcorts to bring the window back up. On MovaXterm, you can just click on the window and it'll come back up. And you recall with test, since we deleted all the content from text by setting the timeout for Kafka to one second, So after, when it did its bookkeeping after one second, it cleared all the data out.
