If you're using a real-time communication tool like Slack or Microsoft Teams, there will be a way to integrate that tool with Jira. Probably multiple apps you can select from, offering different features, will allow that integration. As an example of how that might be useful, let's try a Jira Cloud integration with Slack. These types of integrations are are also available for JIRA Data Center. We can find apps to perform these kinds of integrations in the Atlassian Marketplace. But we'll look for just one from within JIRA. So we'll go to Admin and then Apps. From here, we'll select Find New Apps. And if we type in Slack, we can see a number of integrations are possible. When we search for Slack, as you can see, there are quite a few options to integrate Slack with Jira. The one we'll use is a free one provided by Atlassian themselves, although some of these others could contain different features. So let's select that. And we'll select Get It Now. And done.
