Creating and managing notification schemes
Since notifications are managed primarily at the project level, entirely at the project level in JIRA Data Center, let's first navigate down into a project, and go to the project settings. And then, under the notifications twisty, there is settings. The first item here acts as the from address for all notifications sent from this project, which you'll rarely need to change. Then we have the notification scheme currently assigned to the project, and we can see that we're currently on a default notification scheme that's shared by several projects. The notification types listed under that are the various types of events that can occur in JIRA for which users can be notified. So creating an issue, editing an issue, commenting on issues, and others. The recipients column is who will be notified when such an event occurs.
