Creating and applying automation rules

Let's create and apply a project-level automation rule. We'll also take a look at where we can find global automation rules. We'll demonstrate in Jira Cloud, but most of this is the same in Jira Data Center currently, with the exception being the breadth of rule definition available. Cloud gets more attention than JIRA Data Center with regards to new features being released for automation rules. We'll start off by navigating to our target scrum project settings again, and then we'll select automation. When we select that, we're taken to a list of rules active for this project. There aren't any currently. There are some tabs here, and The audit log will show us a list of recently executed rules, which can be useful if you're trying to debug a rule that isn't working the way you expected. Under Usage, and this is specific to Jira Cloud, we can see the number of rule executions, which may be limited based on what Jira Cloud license is being paid for. Templates is very useful.
