Back, okay, so one of the most important parts of ensuring a change is going to go smoothly is to have it tested ahead of time. And that's a key requirement of any change request. If you've ever used a personal trainer, you know that the very first thing they do is have you go through a bunch of tests to get a baseline of your fitness and they keep doing that throughout the process of you becoming fit. In IT, you have various kinds of changes that people can be making. Custom applications, your staff, or contractors, right, installations of commercial-off-the-shelf, or COTS, third-party software, hardware or network installation, cloud services, and more.
