- [Instructor] So we've talked about the change preparation and validation. Someone has some work that's ready to see the light of day. So now it's time to lodge your request, ideally by filling out a 10-page form in triplicate. Just kidding, but that's how it can feel sometimes. Let's see if we can make it easier. The first thing you want to look at is your types of change. Usually you have at least three types, though if you love complexity, you can make up some more. They're like weight classes in boxing, some hit harder than others. The best kind are routine changes. Routine changes are changes that there's pre-authorization to perform, and they're considered safe because there's little risk involved. So you don't need to request these.
