- [Brad] Welcome back to Cybrary's ISSEP course. I'm your instructor, Brad Rhodes. So let's jump into the processes and things that influence processes as an ISSE. So in this lesson, we're going to talk about organizational authority. We're going to talk about security policies, because those influence process. We're going to talk about software assurance briefly because that's very important. And we're going to talk about our Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, CMMC. This is one that if you're going to work supporting a US government or Department of Defense type organization, CMMC is becoming something you have got to understand as an ISSE. So organizational authority is interesting. When you create a system, at some point, somebody has to approve that that system is good to operate. So let's go back to our smartphone example.
