- [Brad] Welcome back to Cybrary's ISSEP course. I'm your instructor, Brad Rhodes. Well, we have made it to the end of Module 8, the System Development Lifecycle. Let's jump into our summary. In this lesson, we're going to review briefly the SDLC phases. We're also going to review the risk management framework. Two important things you need to know for the ISSEP exam. So here are our SDLC phases. Remember, initiation, right, initiation is our requirements. Acquisition and development, that's our build and buy decision. If we're going to develop it, we're building it. If we're going to buy it, we're going to acquire it, right? So we need to make a decision there, right? If we're doing stuff in the development piece of things, if we're actually going to build it ourselves, that's where we have to decide or look to our organization in terms of what development model are we using?
