So in the realm of cloud storage, the delineation of responsibility under the shared responsibility model is crucial for maintaining data security. The cloud service provider, or CSP, is entrusted with the physical safeguarding of data centers, along with the upkeep of the storage infrastructure that is running the services within that. This includes ensuring that the facilities are secure from intrusion and that the hardware is in optimal condition, regularly applying security patching, and maintaining the overall integrity of data storage technologies.
