- [Instructor] Welcome to the second part of this lesson on privacy in the cloud. In this lesson, we have three key concepts to cover. The first is some jurisdictional challenges. We'll then cover standard requirements, and finish it up with a discussion around the privacy impact assessment, or PIA. Starting with jurisdictional challenges, hopefully, at this point, we've driven home the complexity of the global nature of cloud infrastructure. This makes it difficult to adhere to diverse international privacy regulations, because the physical location of data, alongside the location of the data subjects, dictates the applicable legal frameworks. It's difficult to be super specific on exactly how organizations should handle this, but the best thing to do is first be aware of what data you have in the cloud, where that data is located, who that data is about, and then conduct a comprehensive assessment of all of the different legal regulations and requirements that may be applicable to…
