- [Instructor] Welcome to this lesson on Distributed Infrastructure and Compliance. In this lesson, we have three learning objectives. The first one is discussing policies and stakeholders, and here we'll define a couple different types of policies. We'll then cover specialized compliance requirements and a handful of impacts that a distributed IT model has on the development of these processes. Starting with a discussion on policies and stakeholders. If you've made it this far in the course, hopefully you have a clear understanding that policies and the stakeholders that are both involved with creating and adhering to policies are a foundational part of the success of any organizations. These policies are the bedrock documents that outline the requirements and expectations for both the users and the organization, and the intent here is to mitigate risks, such as financial loss, data breaches, and reputational damage.
