- [Instructor] Welcome to this lesson on "Designing a Secure Data Center". Now in this lesson, as we've discussed, we're very much going to firmly plant ourselves in the role of managing a CSP. In this case, you are not cloud service customer, but rather the provider. As we go through this lesson, we'll talk about four components of the design, starting with logical and then going into physical, environmental, and then finally, designing for resilience. So starting with logical design, there are five categories that we can kind of break this down into. The first one is going to be designing for secure connections, and this includes protecting data in transit using technologies like VPNs, TLS encryption or the equivalent. And in this case, we want to make sure that we're using secure remote access protocols for administering the systems that are supporting our data center.
