Now, once our system has been verified and validated, or we might use the words of certified and accredited or authorized, a next consideration that we have to think about is migration. So we need to move data from the old system to the new system potentially, or we may move information to new systems or software we may have to import or export data. Those are some considerations that we have to make. So when we're thinking about data migration, first thing we've got to figure out is what data needs to be migrated? What needs to be transferred from one system to another? Do we need to clean data up before conversion if we have duplicate records or any sort of excess that needs to be weeded out, that needs to be done before export before conversion. A lot of data formats are compatible, so it's very easy to take anything in database format and send it, you know, save it as XML or comma separated value format.
