- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the controls that let you make adjustments to the detail qualities in a photo. These covers sharpness, definition, and noise reduction. There's also a setting for adding a vignette effect to a photo. I already have an image open in the editing screen of the Photos app and I'm going to scroll down past the color controls, just past the tint control to find the sharpness adjustment. Now, in order to properly evaluate how the sharpness adjustment is affecting the image you need to zoom in so that you can really evaluate the details. So I'm going to come in for a close view where we can see the tiles on that dome and some of the details around the windows. And I'm going to swipe on this dial to turn this up and you can see how the contrast is increasing along the edges of the roof tiles and wherever there are light pixels that are adjacent to dark pixels.
