- [Instructor] When you have your iPhone connected to your Mac and you have it selected in the finder, you'll have this general category here and this is where you'll find the backups area. Now, if you're using iTunes on Windows, you'll go to the summary section and this is also where you'll find the backups area and this is where you can choose to backup your device to your computer or to your iCloud account. Should you ever need to replace your phone, or if something crashes on it and it needs to be completely restored, you can copy its contents and settings from your most recent backup. Now, iCloud is Apple's free online storage and syncing service. If you haven't yet created an iCloud account, you can set one up on your iPhone, your iPad, or your computer.
