Basic inferential statistics: Challenge
(upbeat techno music) - [Instructor] Let's look at our Inferential Statistics Challenges. This will help reinforce the knowledge you've already gained from the previous videos. The first challenge is to load the NLSW88 data set and explore the variables race and union membership. Can you formally test where there is an association between race and union membership? Are non-whites more likely to be union members? The next challenge is to test wage differentials for different groups. Are union members paid more or less than non-union members? Are non-whites paid more or less than whites? You should obtain the relevant statistical tests for each of these questions. It should take you around five minutes to complete these challenges.
