Difference between CSIRT and PSIRT
- [Narrator] Have you ever wondered who's in the back room, under lock and key, defending your company against cyber threats? It's your CSIRT. CSIRT stands for Computer Security Incident Response Team. The definition is in its name. Incident response in an effort to secure computers. CSIRTs are more common than Product Security Incident Response Teams or PSIRTs. When tech professionals think of incident response, they're likely thinking CSIRT. Let's get an understanding of what CSIRTs do to better understand why PSIRTs exist. The main goal of a CSIRT is to take a structured approach to handling incidents that affect computer systems and infrastructure. The CSIRT scope is fairly broad, dealing with a variety of cyberattacks, malware infections, data breaches, and other incidents of that kind.
