- [Instructor] Once everyone has decided on outsourcing the pen test, the next step is to select and hire the consultants. In this segment, we'll see why it's important to check team credentials, spell out all requirements and agree on the terms before testing begins. Now, during this process, you'll meet with a range of firms. Vendors will commonly supply a detailed proposal outlining what they will accomplish in line with the company needs. A proposal will commonly include elements such as the company details, schedules, pricing and additional references. When the management team reviews the proposal, make sure the vendor has provided details about what methods they will use and how they plan to proceed with the audit.
