From the course: Introduction to Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering by Pearson

Topics

Welcome to Lesson 1, Introduction to Large Language Models. In this lesson, we will take a look at the history of Natural Language Processing, or NLP, and how modern language models are trained to read and write. We will take a look at the broader arc of NLP in the last few decades to see how the advent of attention and alignment caused a huge leap forward in how we process sequential data using deep learning architectures. You will get a taste of the many LLM architectures we will be working with and how modern techniques like reinforcement learning from human feedback or RLHF allow LLMs to solve almost any task asked of it.
