Meet Tableau Prep
- [Instructor] So now it's time to introduce you to Tableau Prep. Tableau Prep is a self-service data preparation tool, providing users with a visual and intuitive tool to combine, shape, clean, and export raw data for analysis. If you're familiar with the Tableau platform, you'll feel right at home with Tableau Prep. Tableau Prep uses the same dynamic visual interface that Tableau Desktop uses, but it focuses on the data preparation side of the business intelligence stack. You'll find that many of the data preparation features inside Tableau Desktop are available inside Tableau Prep. And there's seamless integration between the tools, as inputs and outputs to and from Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Now that we've talked high-level about what Tableau Prep is, let's dive a little bit deeper into Tableau user roles so that we can explain where Tableau Prep fits in your BI tool belt.
