- [Instructor] In the next section of our course, we'll be focusing on how to connect to data inside Tableau Prep. Tableau Prep enables users to connect, clean, and configure raw data from virtually any source. Much like Tableau Desktop, you're able to connect to local files, databases, and even published sources. You can enhance your connections with Wildcard Unions, SQL, and more. In addition to connecting to data, you'll also be able to perform initial cleaning functions inside your input step. You'll be able to clean your upfront data with tools like Data Interpreter. You'll also be able to filter data down before the main parts of your flow. Finally, you'll be able to configure your data, such as field names, data types, tech settings, and more.
