Two years ago, I was interviewing a candidate and their expertise blew me away. However, as soon as I started asking them personal questions like tell me about yourself and what's your impact? I saw them immediately begin to sweat and fumble over their words. As an interviewer, I can tell you this happens a lot. Most interview candidates spend time practicing questions about the role and the company, but spend very little or no time practicing questions about themselves.
