Baseline options

- [Presenter] In this movie, I'm going to talk about the first baseline options, these are often misunderstood. They exist in the text frame options and they determine the position of the first line of type within a text frame. Now so that we can be clear what's going on, I've put a colored stroke around each of these frames. The default is ascent, and that means that it's using the ascender height and that's higher than the height of the cap height. Visually, it means that there's going to be a little gap at the top of your text frame. If you don't want that, then you can set it to cap height. Alternatively, you can set it to leading, this might be useful if you want your text to align to a baseline grid without necessarily locking the text to a baseline grid. Now, I don't need to specify a value here, it will use whatever is the value of my leading, which in this case is 30 points.
