- [Instructor] So here I have an image where the figure is completely uncropped and I want to cut him out from the background to achieve something like this. Here's my starting point. So I've scaled up the image dramatically, and now I am going to actually make a copy of the image. Copy, and then I'm going to paste that copy in place. I've prepared the image in Photoshop with a mask, and you'll see that I've also retained the original background layer. So the image that is in InDesign has two layers and there are two copies of it. And one copy is on top of the other. I'm going to come to my layers panel, which is going to be helpful here. Now with the top copy of the image selected, I'll come to the object menu and to object layer options, and then I will hide the background layer. And now I'm going to select the bottom copy, and I'm going to adjust the cropping on that picture frame, something like that. And the nice…
