- [Instructor] Continuing from the previous movie, I now want to add in the intercolumn rules. I'm going to begin with this text frame on the second page. Select that, come to the Object menu, Text Frame Options, and Column Rules. Check Insert Column Rules. My preview is turned on, and we can see that the result is what we expect. You may need to adjust the start and end positions. Now that I've done that once, I'll come to my Object Styles panel, create a new object style, make sure that that style is applied to the selection, and then I'll select the other text frame and apply it to that. I'll also come and select the main part of the main article and apply it to that. But here we are going to run into a problem. The problem is that you'll notice that the left-hand rule starts higher than the right-hand rule. And this is because the way this text frame is put together.
