- When you know your clients beyond their numbers and you understand what really matters to them, you can take their financial plans to the next level. In this lesson, you'll see ways to advise on different investment options based on your client's values and goals. There's a specific realm of investing called socially responsible investing; this can also be called impact investing. These investments focus on companies that work on social justice, environmental sustainability, and clean or alternative energy. These investments also stay away from companies involved in harmful or addictive activities. Socially responsible investing has two primary objectives: to support companies that are working to make a positive social impact and to create a financial gain; they are still investments after all.
