Understanding Microsoft Fabric fundamentals
Understanding Microsoft Fabric fundamentals, where we're going to lay some groundwork for the DP 700 exam by exploring Fabric as a whole. Now, when we start to understand Microsoft Fabric, we have to start with, well, what Fabric is, and it's a unified analytics platform. So whether you're doing data engineering or data warehousing, streaming real-time data or building machine learning and AI models, Fabric allows you to do that in one environment. Now Fabric is a cloud-based tool and it's SaaS, so it's software as a service. So a lot of the management and maintenance is all taken care for you. If we look at OneLake, which is a data lake, you've got one OneLake per tenant. And if you provision capacities in Fabric, you can have different capacities in different locations around the world, but you will see this holistically in your OneLake.
