Configuring access controls for workspaces
Configuring access controls for workspaces. Now when we're looking at configuring access to workspaces, there's actually a hierarchy of permissions. Now we're going to start at the tenant level, so users and groups are created in Entra. So that would be accessible in your Fabric tenant. Under that we'll have the workspace, so users and groups can be added to workspaces. Then, because we're creating items, e.g. a lake house or a warehouse inside a workspace, we then go down into the item level permissions. And of course, within those items we've got objects like files in a lake house, and tables in a lake house and also a warehouse. And finally, we've got row and column level securities to secure specific pieces of data within those objects itself. For example, rows and columns within a warehouse table. So with the workspace roles, we've got a series of workspace roles that we can apply to a user and a group to let them do certain things in a workspace. Now we can add entry users…
