Accessing Microsoft Fabric

Accessing Microsoft Fabric

Accessing Microsoft Fabric. Now, we have multiple ways of accessing Fabric. Because Fabric is a software as a service solution, it's hosted by Microsoft. We don't access it locally. We access it via the web portal. And we can go to app.fabric.microsoft.com or app.powerbi.com. and we open our web browser and go to the Fabric portal. We've got the REST APIs. So each of the workloads and items available within Fabric expose REST APIs that we can work with Fabric in. And we also have a command line interface, which is great for code automation when you're working with Fabric. Now, when you log into Fabric, there is this context switcher in the lower left-hand corner that allows you to switch between a Fabric experience and a Power BI experience. The difference between those is that Power BI is more for the data analysts and for the business users, whereas Fabric is more for the data engineers and data warehouse developers and data scientists.
