Measuring the exact size of a hex tile

- In this movie, I'll show you how to measure the exact size of a hexagonal tile using the polygon tool. And so if you're working along with me, go ahead and turn off the 3D arrows layer, just so that we're getting the proper result. And then go ahead and select a polygon tool from the shape tool fly out menu, which if you load a D keys now has a shortcut of shift, G. And then assuming your smart guides are turned on, you want to drag from the intersection of those two guidelines down to the tip of the blue arrow. At which point again, assuming smart guides are on, you'll see the width and height value listed in the heads-up display. You want to remember exactly what those values are. So 450 points for width, pretty easy to remember, but 519.62 for height. At which point, go ahead and release in order to create that shape.
