- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll take our first look at the blob brush, which we're going to use to draw this illustration here entirely from scratch. And so the first step as is often the case is to go up to the File menu and choose New Front Template or you have that keyboard shortcut of Ctrl + Shift + N or Command + Shift + N on the Mac, then select your center guides document and click on a New button. Now for this project we don't actually need the center guides, so I'll go up to the View menu, choose Guides and then choose Clear Guides. Now I still want the guides layer but I want it to serve as a tracing template. So I'll go ahead and click on that layer to select it, then I'll introduce the template by going to the File menu and choosing the Place command.
