Adjusting the opacity of gradients

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to use opacity and other tricks in order to blend one gradient shape with another. And so for starters here, notice that these highlights are a little bit soft around the edges, and that's because the opacity of that shape tapers off. So I'm going to go ahead and switch over to my document so far, and I'll double click on one of the eyes in order to edit the isolation mode, which provides me with direct access to those shapes. Then I'll go ahead and select this guy, and I'll click on the gradient bar in order to apply the default white to black gradient, and then I'll go grab the white swatch up there in the swatches panel and drop it on that final color. So we now have a gradient that goes from white to white, which might seem ridiculous, but bear in mind that each one of these color stops also includes potential opacity information.
