- Empowering the entire team to take ownership of your team building event is the gateway to showing them how to be accountable for the health and performance of the team. Think of how amazing and developmentally rewarding it would be for your teammates if they were handed the reins to co-own and drive their own event. Now, that's team building. Here are some team building event roles your teammates should be taking on. The goal is to make sure that everyone is stepping up in some way, especially those who often fade into the background. An agenda captain helps us resist the urge of owning the decisions about what fills the agenda. As long as your teammate is clear on exactly what you hope to accomplish, they should be taking this on completely. This doesn't mean that the leader can't contribute or make requests just like any other team member, but team leaders should not be the drivers or the decision-makers of a team…
