Organizing scope on a hybrid project with a WBS
- There are two main ways to organize a hybrid project with a work breakdown structure or a prioritized backlog. In this video, we'll talk about using the work breakdown structure, WBS, to break down, organize and progressively elaborate project scope. A WBS is common on projects with a predictive approach where the scope is well-defined upfront. There are two types of scope, the product scope which includes the deliverables, features and functions of a product, and the project scope, which includes all the work you need to do to produce the product scope like testing, documentation, reporting, compliance activities, et cetera. If we go back to the career up-skill, re-skill education center, we can look at product and project scope using the construction of the building.
