If you don't understand the strategy, the goals, and resources of your organization, how are you going to answer that question? Let me frame it another way. You're an HR business partner carrying a very full plate of work. Sound familiar? A director in your client group comes in and asks you to drive a new pet project of theirs. What do you do? Do you reply with an automatic yes and begin wondering how you can move your nightly pickleball games to create the capacity to take on that new work?
