How employees need to be led is evolving, and for businesses to continue to find creative solutions, to the complex problems their customers face, leaders have to change the way they approach leadership. The workplace is a dynamic ecosystem of employees, leaders, teams, resources, and culture. Operating in the ecosystem today means removing formal authority structures, centering decisions around company values, and consistently holding yourself and others accountable. In this new world of work, leaders should think of themselves as integrators of people, processes, and culture, rather than influencers or champions of teams. An integrator values connection, demonstrates flexibility and agility, and thinks about distributing work differently than a leader who takes a traditional approach.…
