- Employees who feel good perform even better, so it makes good business sense for employers to care about and invest in employee wellbeing, and that encompasses mental, physical, social, and economic wellness. Traditionally, employers focus on physical employee wellness. For example, onsite fitness centers and employer-paid fitness memberships have become the norm. As the understanding of wellness expanded, employers began focusing on providing mental health support to employees.
