- You know your value, now you have to keep your value. Work impeccably, be consistent, develop your skillset, be curious about learning. And then how do you actually go into that next promotion? How do you go and ask for a salary race? Well, there's consistent information in organizations that they are absolutely not aware of the Latina pay gap, can you believe that? So 43 cents of the dollar and organizations, maybe they have not made that calculation. So you want to ask your company in a very nice way to do an analysis of the salary gaps they have for number of organizations that has come to a surprise for their C-suite and they're ready to take action. Do it in a nice way, give them a chance, but also be aware of the salary raise techniques that are out there that we just need to be aware of. One, know the cycle, know when to ask. If you come out of the blue in a place that is absolutely impossible for them, because it will be an exception, wrong move, hard to get. Know your cycle and get the timing. And then when you have the opportunity, do it in a way that is consistent with what we just spoke about. Bring your value and the objectives that you have been able to help achieve. Thanks to that results, value, and timing. And then just make sure that your network is operating on your behalf. Ask your mentor to talk to your boss, to talk to the boss of your boss, to talk about you. Ask and you will get, ask your sponsor to be able to say a nice worked for you. If you're unable, if you're inconsistent, if you feel shy about asking yourself, have someone train you in a conversation, just trial it. So have a pilot conversation with someone about the way in which you can come across, do it on time, do your value.
