Have you ever caught yourself saying things like, I'm too old to change careers or I don't have the right talent, skills or experience to make the change? These are examples of limiting beliefs that stop you from moving forward and taking action in your career. In this lesson, you'll learn where limiting beliefs stem from and how to reframe them into positive thoughts. Limiting beliefs are thoughts and opinions that you believe to be the absolute truth. To give you an example, I'll tell you a brief story of how my limiting belief about being bad at math got started. When I was in the first grade, we had a classroom store where students could use fake money to purchase items like candy and small toys. The purpose of having the store was to teach us how to earn and count money. After finally earning enough money to make a purchase, I decided to buy a bottle of bubbles for a dollar.
