Nurture a psychologically safe environment to innovate

- "I can't do this. This isn't good enough. I'm not good enough. I'm never going to get to this. This is stupid. These are such bad ideas. Nobody can see this until it's perfect." Have you ever felt this way? Have you ever had these thoughts? These are the thoughts that happen when you are in an unsafe psychological environment. It's something that looks and feels like perfectionism. No failure allowed. Shame, criticism, guilt, pressure, self-censorship, self-doubt. Can you see how these would shut down innovation? It's incredibly destructive and it absolutely cuts off your ideas before they ever have a chance to grow. Here's the good news. Psychological safety is something you can create, and you can create this both for yourself and others. For now, we'll focus on creating this for yourself.
