- According to Crunchbase, more than 140,000 US tech employees were laid off in 2022. As of March 20, 2023, more than a 100,000 US tech employees have lost their jobs. Just a few months before the layoffs, we were in a job seeker's market. Now, the industry is favoring employers. The once hyper-secure tech industry looks like it's leaning in the opposite direction. However, Climate Tech doesn't fit into this mold. Despite volatile market conditions, Climate Tech remains resilient in the face of a struggling economy. Again, Climate Tech isn't an industry or an individual sector, it's a global economic shift. The hard reality is that climate change is real and it's continuing to worsen.
