- So now, you've seen how your motivations impact your job, the job characteristics, and your desire for status. When you're working from home all these different areas mix to determine how much you'll enjoy your work. Working from home has an entirely different set of challenges, it's more about you than a set of processes, or practices. A survey from Stanford University showed that about 35% of people said they could be 100% efficient while working from home, while about 37% of people said that they would only be about 50% efficient working from home. The remaining group of people fell somewhere in between. So it really is more more about who you are. You might be among the third of people for whom it works great, or you might be the third of people where it doesn't work well at all. Maybe you fall somewhere in between.
