- [Interviewer] Well, so you've got a book here, the "Burnout Fix" do enlighten us. What is the "Burnout Fix"? Or maybe any surprising discoveries you've made about burnout? - [Interviewee] Yeah, I think the interesting thing about burnout or misnomer that kind of surprises people about burnout is that a lot of people think burnout is just an individual problem. Like I, you know, I'm not strong enough to deal with, you know, crazy life and if I was just more gritty, I could have not burned out, but burnout isn't just an individual problem in any way, I mean individuals exist in systems and environments. And so we can not look at the individuals burn out without looking at the environment that they exist in. So it's co-created by our work too is really interesting there's six specific mismatches between the nature of a person and the nature of their work that leads to burnout.
