- Remember we learned earlier in the chapter, similar to the rules of engaging at a busy intersection, team norms are an explicit set of rules and agreed upon behaviors that shape team interactions. Let's take our example from the entertainment company. We learned earlier in their chapter that they needed to balance out who had voice or the opportunity to speak most in team interactions, determine how different identities such as personality types could be honored, and balance out power dynamics. After having a brave conversation about voice, identity, and power, here are some of the norms that were introduced to the team. Allow for processing time before and during meetings, celebrate accomplishments to ensure each team member has the opportunity to feel valued, ensure everyone has an opportunity to speak in meetings, whether it's verbally or through written communication, allow members to be in meetings where their work…
