- If you watched our last movie, you learned how to deal with a shot that's too dark. An overexposed shot is even harder to fix because a lack of detail is really difficult to bring back, but we'll try the same technique just using a different blend mode. Go ahead and drag the shot onto the new comp icon and then press command + D to duplicate it. Here, we're really losing some of the detail in the rest of the scene. So what I'm going to do is take a look at the modes here and set this to a gentle mode. Soft Light starts to combine things. I also could take a look at Overlay. And you see how some of the skin tones and the highlights in the faucet are really coming back. Now, in this case, it's almost a bit too much, but it's a definite improvement. What I'm going to do is press the T for opacity and back that off to 50. And that really helped. Plus, the problem zone is really here in the lower layer. So let's apply the…
