A quick flyby of the Hootsuite dashboard

(upbeat music) - Hey there. Welcome to the Hootsuite dashboard. I'm here to give you a quick flyby of the features you'll use most, and I've recruited the best pilot in town for our tour. Here to give me a hand is the bird, the myth, the legend, Owly. (crowd cheering) The sidebar covers all of the features, like Composer, Streams, Publisher, Inbox, and Analytics. These buttons toggle the different functions in your dashboard, but before you can use them, you'll need to add your social networks. (bright music) You can add new networks from your profile or from the Streams tab anytime. Once you do, streams gives you a bird's eye view of your entire social world and you get to choose the highlights. Use it to monitor your feed, view and respond to mentions, and review your scheduled posts. You can also use streams to curate content by following whatever trending hashtags and topics you are into. And to create your own content, use the Composer. (upbeat music) Here I can create one post to share across multiple networks or multiple posts to share across one network, including Instagram Stories and Reels. The composer saves me hours in native apps and the functionality is just as flexible. Look, here's a post I want to put on Instagram and Twitter, and per network editing means I can tweak it so I'm mentioning the right account on each one. The Media Library is stocked with royalty free images and gifs, or you can add your own, and Hootsuite will format it for each network. It even shows you the best time to publish based on what's worked for you in the past so you can schedule your post when you know your audience will see it. Looks like this is the winning time. (gentle chimes) Now let's fly over to the planner to check out what else is on the schedule. (upbeat music) Here's where you'll see your scheduled content across all of your networks and plan out future posts. I spot a gap here, so I'm going to just quickly drag and drop an existing post, but you can also create a new post right here, change your calendar view, or even filter by things like post status. It's also worth playing around with your planner settings to find the setup that works best for you. Okay, remember how I said Hootsuite saves me hours in apps? Here's one of the best features for interacting with your followers. (upbeat music) Inbox shows you all of your private and public social messages in one place. Like, all of the messages. We're talking Instagram DMs, public comments, public story mentions, you name it. So here I see a customer who's been looking for attention and I'm going to quickly assign it to my colleague in Customer Care to step in. You can even save replies and track the interaction history so we can prevent a firestorm. To keep track of any shifts in my numbers, I use Analytics. The data is constantly changing based on your post and account performance. You can monitor the big numbers like audience growth and the small details like post engagement. All of the best time to publish data that I mentioned earlier is housed here, so I can check in on what's working best and adjust my strategy. And to prove my strategy is working, the report templates help me break down the data so my leaders can understand it. That's it for now. Thanks for your help, Owly, (upbeat music) (crowd cheering) And if you ever need more help, there's easy access to the Hootsuite help center, and you can swoop over to Hootsuite Academy anytime to learn more. (air whooshing) (bell dinging)
