Installing and using OneDrive

- OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud storage platform easily integrated into Windows, as well as the Microsoft 365 Office Suite. And of all the cloud storage platforms available, it's one of my favorites for sharing my workload between computers. If you use Windows, you may already have OneDrive installed. Subscriptions are free for a limited amount of storage, currently five gigabytes. But with a Microsoft 365 subscription, you get a thousand gigabytes or one terabyte of online storage. More storage is available with different subscription plans. Choose the Download link to download OneDrive software to your computer. Here you see that OneDrive is already installed. Otherwise, click the Download button and follow the directions on screen to install the program which runs on macOS and Android devices, in addition to Windows. As with many cloud storage platforms, once installed, you see OneDrive folder available in your user account areas shown here in Windows. Press the Windows E keyboard shortcut to summon this window and then choose OneDrive from the Quick Access bar, here on the left. This is OneDrive, which is integrated with other folders local to my computer. In fact, everything I store here is local to the computer, but it's also echoed to the cloud available on the internet or any other computer where I have OneDrive Cloud storage installed. This is the beauty of OneDrive and other cloud storage platforms. These are my current work project folders, which is where I keep my books and videos as I work on them. I know that when I leave for a trip, providing an internet connection is available, I have access to all these folders on my laptop, instantly. And when I return, any changes made elsewhere are reflected in my office on my desktop. Combined with its integration with Microsoft Office, OneDrive becomes a useful productivity tool solving the problem of synchronizing and sharing your files across multiple devices and making them available anywhere you have access to the internet.
